| Comments: | Other comments: Since they were available in 1862, and Stevens pictures as such were first introduced in 1879, these silks pre-date the Stevengraphs by some 17 years. The silk above is mounted, and on the reverse cover has the stamped logo which was used on the early 1860's on Stevens bookmark backing papers. The card mount though is not the one traditionally associated with Stevengraphs. There is a second, almost identical silk to this [su6 on this site]; the difference being on the words at the very bottom of the silk. |
