MORNING HYMN

AWAKE, MY SOUL, AND WITH THE SUN
THY DAILY STAGE OF DUTY RUN;
SHAKE OFF DULL SLOTH, THE EARLY RISE
TO PAY THY MORNING SACRIFICE.

REEDEM THY MISPENT MOMENTS PAST,
AND LIVE THIS DAY AS IF THE LAST:
THY TALENTS TO IMPROVE TAKE CARE;
FOR THE GREAT DAY THYSELF PREPARE.

LET ALL THY CONVERSE BE SINCERE,
THY CONSCIENCE AS THE NOON-DAY CLEAR;
FOR GOD'S ALL-SEEING EYE SURVEYS
THY SECRET THOUGHTS, THY WORKS AND WAYS.

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW;
PRAISE HIM ALL CREATURES HERE BELOW
PRAISE HIM ABOVE, YE HEAV'NLY HOST
PRAISE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST.

Comments:

Signed: "T.STEVENS MANF=R COVENTRY" on back at top turn-over:

The words of this bookmark are identical to sb1441 but with a different design at the top of the bookmark.
The "T. Stevens, Coventry" logo is woven in the top turn-over of the bookmark above, meaning it was introduced earlier than the sb1441 bookmark, since that one has the logo woven in the bottom pointed end.
