The ribbon has been sewn along the lower tapered end to form a sash to go around the wearers neck.
In total the ribbon is 108.0cm long by 5.6cm wide, with the central design being 19.0cm long.
The remainder of the sash is of a uniform green colour, and is not shown.

Other comments:
Rather than weaving in their name, Slingsby tended to stamp it on the back of his silks, using ink. This was in the form of a large circle, with the Diamond Registration mark inside.

There is just such a stamping on the reverse of this sash, on which is written:
H. SLINGSBY & SON. MANUFACTURERS, NUNEATON 

The Diamond Registration mark contained within this circle has the date of registration on 26 February 1874.

At some stage, the central design of this sash has been made into a bookmark type ribbon, with a pin sewn into the top turnover, so the ribbon could be worn as a badge.
